Nasco vicino Napoli e ho una formazione scientifica, l’amore, anzi, dovrei dire l’ossessione per la fotografia, nasce più tardi.

Sono stata allieva del XXXVII Eddie Adams Workshop. Ho completato il percorso biennale di fotografia autoriale “The Soul and The Machine”, organizzato da IDA ETS e diretto da Nausicaa Giulia Bianchi, partecipato alla Masterclass di Alex Majoli e a vari altri seminari con fotografi di fama internazionale.

La mia pratica artistica ha radici molto personali. Fotografo ciò che mi sta a cuore, che voglio conoscere e che desidero sia visto. La mia ricerca è incentrata sulla vita umana, la storia delle persone, il modo in cui le scelte ne hanno modellato l’esistenza e come esse si relazionano con l’ambiente in cui vivono modificandolo e lasciandosene influenzare. Uso un approccio di tipo documentaristico permeato da un sentimento poetico.

Sono convinta che non esistano storie che non meritano di essere raccontate, mi impegno ad allenare uno “sguardo straniero” sul quotidiano, l’atto del fotografare mi aiuta a vedere tra le sue righe prestando attenzione alla “qualsiasità” di cui parlava Cesare Zavattini.

I was born near Naples and have a scientific educationthe love, or rather, I should say the obsession for photography, was born later.
I was a student of the XXXVII Workshop of Eddie Adams. I attended the biennial course of auteur photography “The Soul and The Machine”, organized by IDA ETS and directed by Nausicaa Giulia Bianchi, as well as the Masterclass of Alex Majoli and several other workshops with internationally renowned photographers.
My artistic practice has very personal roots. I photograph what is close to my heart, the camera is my medium to enter and tell about what I want to know and what I want to be seen. My research focuses on human life, on the way choices shape it and on the relation between humans and the environment where they live in, modifying it and being influenced by it. I use a documentary approach permeated by a poetic feeling. I am pretty sure that it doesn’t exist any story that doesn’t deserve to be told , I am committed to training a “foreigner gaze” on everyday life so as not to stop really seeing, the act of making pictures helps me to pay attention to the ordinary in everyday life.
